Trust Payroll Officer - Part Time (30 hrs per week, 52 weeks per year)

£26,317 - £29,636 (FTE) (Actual salary will be pro rata FTE)

The Trust is seeking a seeking a highly skilled and experienced payroll professional who will provide an accurate, robust and timely payroll service to all our staff employed within our Trust, across all our schools.  You will have full responsibility, (reporting to the Trust HR Director and on occasions Finance Director) for end-to-end payroll processing and will support the procurement of a new payroll system as the function is brought in house from current external payroll bureaus. 

You will be an experienced payroll practitioner confident with all aspects of payroll processing and ideally be familiar with LGPS and TPS pension schemes.  You should have experience of running a multi-site payroll and will have knowledge of month-end and year-end, HMRC and statutory returns, pensions and salary sacrifice schemes.  Knowledge of payroll in education is desirable but you will be fully supported by the HR and Finance Directors and be part of a strong, central Trust team.  You would be joining a nurturing and caring working environment underpinned by a Catholic ethos and educational focus, whose aim is for every pupil to leave with a strong moral purpose, high aspirations and immense pride in what they have achieved during their time in our schools.
