Mrs Burnham has joined OLICAT as our Strategic Executive Lead
A warm welcome from us all in the OLICAT community to Mrs Catherine Burnham, who joined Our Lady Immaculate Catholic Academies Trust this September. Mrs Burnham previously worked as an Executive Headteacher in a large Catholic Academy Trust in Surrey and is also a Lead Inspector for the National Inspectorate for CSI.
Mrs Burnham has extensive experience in the education sector, having worked for 30 years across primary, secondary and university levels.
“For me, the most important thing is to make a difference to the lives of the children and families – whatever their age and their circumstances. It is essential that we listen and learn from the whole community.
Our strength lies in working together as a team and planning with confidence to ensure the best possible outcomes for our children and families. Our OLICAT community can then continue to flourish, love and aspire to be who God has called us to be” (Mrs C Burnham)
Mr Christopher Donnellan, KC, Chair of Directors, was delighted to welcome Mrs Burnham to our Trust. Mr Donnellan, along with Mr Tony Bishop, who retired from the Trust in August of this year, have been working together since the beginning of the year on a seamless handover.
"We are confident that with Catherine Burnham leading the Trust she will, in her way, be able to continue with the same educational and spiritual purpose focused on the children we serve. I know that a warm welcome awaits as she visits the schools and meets our community over the months to come. Catherine has the support of our excellent central team who, in turn, are supported by and support staff in each school.
Thank you, Catherine, for taking on the role, and we wish you all the best."
Mrs Burnham is looking forward to meeting students and staff in the coming weeks, during visits to all of our 12 schools.
